Being aware that having a good product and an excellent service is not sufficient to face the challenge within a global market is something that has certainly influenced Omera’s strategic choices over the last few years. Choices have been mainly expressed along two lines: the first to propose the company on the market in the most suitably challenging way, the second to face the emerging markets with a joint penetration policy created as a network with other Italian industrial companies manufacturing complementary and integrable products. The first case concerns the OMERA GROUP, a synergic operative body including OMERA itself, TIMAC from Schio and OMERA MAWE operating on the German-speaking market. The more recent second case refers to the setting up of the ITC – Italian Technology Center – the new Made-in-Italy promotion Center for this sector, with head office in Pune, India. This venture has been created with 10 other Italian companies and is an important outcome of the line of action agreed upon by the Ministry of Economic Development and Federmacchine (Italian Federation of Capital Goods Associations), within the scope of the “Machines Italia in India” project.
